Frequently Asked Questions
Who do you work with?
I work with adult clients who are looking for support with personal growth, emotional wellbeing, or relationship challenges. My goal is to create a comfortable space where you can show up just as you are and feel truly heard.
What kinds of things can we talk about in individual counseling?
Anything that’s weighing on you. Many adults come to explore stress, anxiety, low mood, self-esteem struggles, life transitions, communication issues, or general “I just don’t feel like myself lately.”
Individual counseling is your space to slow down, sort through what’s going on, and build healthier ways of coping and connecting.
What does relationship counseling look like?
In relationship counseling, we focus on helping you and your partner communicate more clearly, feel more understood, and get back on the same team. We work on things like resolving conflict, rebuilding trust, expressing needs, and strengthening your connection.
My role is to support both of you in feeling safe, respected, and heard.
Can I come to relationship counseling by myself?
Absolutely. Many adults choose to come alone when they want help understanding a relationship, setting boundaries, or gaining clarity about what they need moving forward. You don’t have to come as a couple to get relationship support.
How long will counseling take?
It’s different for everyone. Some people come for a short period to work on something specific, while others prefer longer-term support for deeper growth. We’ll talk about what you’re hoping for and find a pace that feels right for you.
How often are sessions?
Most people start with weekly sessions so we can build momentum. As things begin to feel more balanced, we can shift to bi-weekly or monthly check-ins. It’s flexible — we adjust as your needs evolve.
What happens in the first session?
Your first session is simply a chance for us to get to know each other. You can share as much or as little as you’d like. I’ll ask a few gentle questions to understand what brings you in, and together we’ll talk about what support might look like. There’s no pressure — just a conversation.
Is counseling confidential?
Yes. What you share in counseling stays between us, with only a few safety-related exceptions required by law. Your privacy and trust are extremely important to me.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
(Yes — many adults appreciate the convenience of meeting online. Virtual sessions offer the same level of support and confidentiality as in-person appointments.
How do I get started?
Just reach out through the contact form, phone, or email. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible and help you schedule your first appointment or answer any questions you might have.
